Yemen Terrorists Hold Japanese Man Ransom For Playstation Games

In a story that seems too bizarre to be true, a Japanese Engineer was abducted by armed Islamic terrorists and demanded 1,000 Playstation 3 systems in exchange for the engineer’s safe return.  According to a Japanese Translation worker, the prisoner, who has no affiliation with Sony, was working on a government funded construction project for the Japan International Cooperation Agency.  Last month, he and his driver were on the way to the job site when they happened to be ambushed.  According to the driver, “My arm had been bruised earlier in the day, so I was unable to use my special kung fu skills to take the terrorists down.”

According to the Japanese Translator covering the story, “The Islamic terrorists refused to negotiate and demanded Playstation 3 systems with a complete set of Rambo movies on Blu-ray.”  However, the terrorists eventually set the captives free when the Japanese government was unable to acquire the Playstation Systems and then indicated that they would not negotiate with terrorists.

“I am relieved to have been released,” Mashimo reportedly said in a telephone call to the Certified Japanese Translation Press.  “Please tell my mother that I am O.K.”  Mashimo reports that while he was held captive he was fed terrible food that consisted of stale pizza and was kept in a room with a bunch of smell goats.

Mashimo, an employee of the Tokyo-based consultancy Mohri, Architect & Associates Inc., has been working in Yemen for more than a year on this project.   According to inside sources he used his special government issue 10 in 1 cell phone to call the Japanese Embassy to report he had been taken captive and request a limo be sent to find him and pick him up.  After tough negotiations between the Architect firm and the Yemen captors, a long convoy of vehicles carrying scores of armed tribesmen from Arhab were dispatched to pick Mashimo up and return him safely to work.
