Would the Travel channel show No Reservations, ever travel to North Yemen, to the old city of Sana’?

I read a really good book called ‘Motoring with Mohammad’, and I’ve always found this area fascinating. Even their food is notable as being entertainment. The book was written right before the first Gulf War, and I know there is some danger traveling to North Yemen. Dr. Danger traveled to Yemen, on his TV show. I also had an anthropology professor who is white/European, and he was always going to North Yemen to set up a museum.

I’m a fan of No Reservations. It’s a great show. They MIGHT travel to Yemen in the future, who knows but right now, I don’t think so. Yemen is a dangerous country to travel to right now.

This is from Lonely Planet, they make the best travel guides

“Travel Alert: Areas of Yemen are considered unsafe for travel, including popular sites within Sana’a and Hadramaut Provinces. Foreigners have been targeted in several violent attacks, including bombings and kidnappings”

There are rebels there now , so better wait until things settle down. But south and east Yemen (Aden , Hadramaout) are petty much safer than north.
