  1. Me, Myself & I says:

Maybe because the Rio-Paris Air France crash effected the people in the Western world than the other crash so they care about it more as it’s their own people who died.

  2. The Tyrant says:

because the west doesnt care about dark skinned ppl especially not muslim ones

  3. The Professor says:

Although it does seem racist, it was the same thing with Kosovo- it was covered more than Rwandan genocide, when the situation in Rwanda was worse, news coverage has more to do with which countries are closer allies to the US.

  4. Fruit Basket says:

I was just thinking about that
the Air france was reported on the news almost everyday for weeks
but this only a small segment was allocated.

I say this is very simlar to the “missing white women syndrome”.

  5. Pascha says:

I didn’t know about the ethnicity of the victims.

I wondered why we haven’t heard more about this crash, especially since there was a survivor, and people would be interested in how one survives a crash into the ocean. The surviving girl heard others talking in the dark when she was in the water, so other people must have survived the crash. But it took about 14 hours for rescuers to get there. The crash was only 9 miles from land. I wondered why boats weren’t sent out right away. Was it so difficult to locate?
