‘Over the years, bin Laden and his fellow terrorists launched numerous strikes against U.S. targets with the stated design of getting American forces out of Saudi Arabia – including the twin embassy bombings in East Africa; the attack on the USS Cole in Yemen, and, eventually, 9/11.’

‘The United States has said that virtually all its troops, except some training personnel, are to be pulled out of Saudi Arabia.
The decision was confirmed by US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld during a joint news conference with Saudi Defence Minister Prince Sultan.’

    they were following Clinton’s lead.

where is the reality in what you are attempting to say?! had he gone more strongly after others – as they did saddam — there would be even more “heck to pay” with people screaming foul. HINDSIGHT IS 20/20

  3. Union Fireman for McCain/Palin says:

You mean Clinton – the stuff here happened in 1993 (World Trade Center), embassies in 1998, USS Cole in 2000.

  4. Pənny Proud says:

Achieve its main objective; You mean taking away our Freedoms that they hate so much? In that way, they were successful, with the Patriot Act and Operation Sudden Impact…

We left because the Saudis told us to. It’s their country. And the presence of no-Islamic troops in the Arabina peninsula is very difficult for them under Islamic law. The only reason they allowed them was defense against the threat from Saddam. No Saddam, no threat, they asked us to go.

Also, Bin Laden’s *stated* goals mean nothing. He’s still trying to get us, right?

  6. Samm says:

But I thought Liberals kept telling us “Al Queda was just made up by Bush and GOP to win votes”????

  7. No Spin from Either Side Please says:

Why didn’t Clinton capture Obama when he had the chance? He was a lot closer to it than Bush was. Maybe he should have thought about how “an ounce of Prevention is worth a ton of cure”. Lets see how Mr. Obama does, shall we?

  8. Waas up says:

The Bush Admin and Al Qaeda are co conspirators.

  9. McOldie says:

Bush just did not want to face the wrath of the Saudis. He and his family have been friends with the Saud family for years. The Saudis support Al Qaeda with donations. Do you get it now?

  10. SFC_Ollie says:

Wow, maybe because that was simply an excuse by Bin Laden. We never planned to keep troops in Saudi Arabia. They were only there at the request of the Saudi Government because of Saddam. Many people do not understand that he did sent his troops into Saudi once also. And Saudi Arabia could not have held his military back.

It’s called pacificism. The anti war homegrown anarchists and commies that pose as U.S. citizens but their goal is for their own motherland.

Now those same people have elected Obama.

  12. Paulywog says:

can`t believe it the election is over and you idiots are still preaching conspiracy.

  13. Kitt says:

Mel, check your dates as to when those incidences occured and you will find they were ALL under the CLINTON watch, except for 9/11. Bush fought back, Clinton was to busy smokin his cigars.
