What is Obama thinking, Id love to know?

Well, Ill tell u now I didnt vote for him but I was reading the news this morning and last night and came across these two articles and my question is he is crazy? does this make sense to anyone it doesnt to me..its like he is taking terrorists out of Gitmo and sitting them in our backyard.. anyone have an opinion?

It’s like he’s just trying to make a statement. I’m glad someone is questioning the all-mighty Obama, because all I’ve heard is praise for shutting down Gitmo.

Did you pay no attention whatsoever to last year’s Presidential election? Didn’t both candidates agree to end America’s shameful Guantanamo legacy?

If the prisoners weren’t terrorist they are now and are a threat.
I have no idea why he’s doing this! I’m so scared for this country and what will take place in it during the next four years.
What kills me is that Obama has been campaigning on this topic for two years, and now he says he will have to establish a panel of experts to discuss what to do with the detainees. Two freaking years and he hasn’t even considered a solution yet??? We are soooo screwed.
How did he let them go??? he just put them in homeland prisons. It save lots of tax dollars not flying people back and fourth to guantonamo bay. In fact the only thing guantonamoo bay did was make people feel safer but it is not even 1 of our most secured prisons we own??? In fact isnt it easier to detain the prisoners on our own soil?? Our prison system is probably harsher here with these gangs and rapist and murderers all waiting to mess with habib and akhbar, y should they not be ”in the system like so many others?? It wasnt the greatest idea, but it wasnt a bad one either and people who think it will somehow allow terrorist in your living room now are idiots!………whatever rights they were eligible to are exactly the same, the only thing that has changed is the location……calm down u far right conservatives. I personally dont want my tax dollars to contribute flying terrorists (and their lawyers, and their food, and anything else)back and fourth to court from gitmo when we can already place them here and hopefully convict them much faster and efficient.

Gitmo was a anachronism: it solved nothing and yet made a bad statement to everyone. If you want to try the the terrorist a**holes, do it already in a court of law. Why keep a place like Gitmo which is like a medieval torture house?
It doesn’t make sense. Where is he planning on putting the displaced inmates? Do we bring them to the United States? (I mean these are the very same people we are trying to keep from gaining access to our country so by all means bring them in make it easier for them to cross over and get into our country). Also hee is a good question, how safe do you think these displaced inmates are going to be while being held in Federal prisons? Im pretty sure the average American inmate will probably be more pissed at those displaced inmates than they are at cops and child molesters (and we have all heard stories of what happens to child pervs and cops in jail). So Obama wants to bring them to US soil, put them in US jails and then essentially have them killed off by our own inmates? And all this time I thought the Democrats were the ones who were interested in human rights. ON a serious note I don’t believe this was a well thought out plan thus far. I’m not comfortable with allowing access to our country by the very same people we have been trying to keep out. Just not wise. Even though I was joking I think it has a sense of potential reality to it, putting these folks into our prison system is a death sentence. You want to treat them fair and maintain their human rights then do not put them in SIng SIng, they’ll be dead in a week.
He has his reasons. He’s not a moron. They do things at Gitmo that would give you nightmares forever, and these are American soldiers torturing human beings. It’s shameful and he’s putting a stop to it. Period.

My opinion is that Obama doesn’t have a plan. He initiated the closing of Gitmo without planning ahead. Where are these terrorists going to go? Obama doesn’t even know. McCain or any other leader with military experience would figure out where they would be placed before closing the base and setting timetables. That is what happens when you hand control of the military over to someone that didn’t even go to boot camp or ROTC. That is what happens when the Jewish owned media places somebody in office like they did. Obama has absolutely no respect for our military. For his inauguration he allowed the Hollywood titans of film and TV that spent millions if not billions putting him in office; land their private jets in Andrews air force base. That is unheard of, and a disgrace to our tax dollars. This could possibly be the most dangerous president we have had. Nobody knows what he will do or if he even knows what he’s doing. The only honest and truthful thing he has said that I can agree with is that he will bring change. Hopefully after that change America will be resilient enough to recover its losses both economically and militarily .
