anyway i dont think obama is stupid. he knows what he’s doing and its not like we are releasing ‘em all.
I don’t think it will matter that much. When and if some detainees join Al-Qaeda they will most likely just end up dieing in a suicide bombing, firefight or be captured again and sent to a foreign prison.
They will be given a choice..
Go back to their terrorist cell.
Get a new identity and some $ and live in the US with a guaranteed Govt. job.. Retirement .
Well if you actually learn about the whole story and not just bits and pieces….
Our military captures terrorists on a daily basis in different nations around the world…and most of them are released on the spot for different reasons…is that Obama’s fault also? Its a war, its not always going to to the way that everyone wants. But i think it is important for the US to try and keep a little bit of dignity and not act on the same level as the terrorists.
I’m concerned that some of those men would return to terrorism.
Most of the detainees haven’t been charged of any crime in 8 years and never even got a trial. Many of those were innocent. But… after 8 years of torture they sure became terrorists. The ones who were terrorists for sure want to kill americans even more now then they did in the past because of those 8 years. They should have been charged and given a trial many years ago. It wasn’t done and because of the torture used against them if there are trials they will be dismissed because of torture.
The future is not bright.
This kind of stupidity is just more of the “change” we were promised during the election. We knew how incompetent Obama was, and people voted for him anyway. Sadly, ( the collective ) we deserve whatever happens when they’re released.
