Should the Arab World, after the revolutions, come up with their own version of a European Union?

The early version of the EU was created after World War II to safeguard democracy and human rights in those countries by integrating their economies closer and closer together. Should there be an Arab Union where the Arab countries can freely travel and exchange goods without tariffs to safeguard their newfound liberties through broader integration?
