The same Gitmo detainees who are fed three halal meals per day and are provided with a free prayer rug and Qur’an.
Folks, read the link – we LET ONE GO and he’s now the No. 2 man in Al Qaeda in Yemen.
Liberal Ass Kicker – - – - a SOCCER field????
They could play in CONCACAF!!!
yes they are
Yes they are and if they get to our shores and get out we will pay the price.
How would one know without a trial?
that is yet to be determined…in a court of law.
Maybe, maybe not. The fact remains that the overwhelming majority of people whose “cases” have been finalized – convicted or releasaed – have been released to their home nation.
Less than a dozen of the hundred of people have been convicted. Hundreds have been released under the Bush Administration. So, I would have to say NO. They are not the worst of the worst.
Not really. The worst of the worst are kept in prisons throughout the world in small prisons where there are at most a dozen or less prisoners. These prisons are strewn throughout eastern europe and the middle east. The prisons are run entirely by the CIA.
If they are…..why have they not been charged, tried, convicted, sentenced, and punished?…..they’re just sitting there….costing us money.
And a soccer field and specific instructions on how to walk around the cells so as not to disturb their prayers.
Yes, there are hundreds of military prisons maintained throughout the world by the US, these are the high security risks.
apparently, according to republicans, these prisoners will be released and are gonna be hanging out in schools and shopping malls across america
No. By and large, they’re just the ones we happen to have locked up. Many of them are there for no reason other than someone told a US soldier that they were a terrorist. That’s all it took. So, if you were an Iraqi who had a grudge against someone, or maybe wanted to get hold of their land, all you had to do was find a US soldier, and your problem was solved.
That one was wrong.
Bush released him. I would take it up with him.
Not necessarily. 89% of the released detainees never get involved with terrorism.
“Morrell said the latest figures, current through December 24, showed an 11 percent recidivism rate, up from 7 percent in a March 2008 report that counted 37 former detainees as suspected or confirmed active militants.”
If 11% return, that means 89% don’t. One could safely assume that 25-30% of the people being detained at Gitmo are innocent.
So you think that 89 people being wrongfully imprisoned is worth having 11 people imprisoned if nobody dies? You would’ve loved soviet russia.
