Now the Captian and Chief Officer of the Flotilla have stated , on video that can be seen on Youtube, that it was 40 IHH members that cut metal poles and chains from the railing system of the ship, that the IHH took over part of the ship, restricting access by the crew and other passengers And that it was the IHH that atttacked the Iraeli soldiers with deadly violence and an attempt to take Israelis hostage.

Once the Flotilla Captians declared their intent to violate the Israeli/Egyptian blockade, Israel had absolute right to intercept, board and commandeer the ship for inspection and detention. in international waters. When a Captian of a vessel expresses their intent , the guessing game is over,

@esh325 Those weapons are normal shipboard implements found on ALL ocean-going vessels. I’m very curious as to how you’d react if a squad of Mexican soldiers tried “inspecting” your car while you were out driving on a U.S. interstate. I think your attitude would very much mirror those of these dangerous civilians
In response to the video, the flotilla had some violent thugs who beat and kidnapped Isrtaeli soldiers. The soldiers did not fire first. These were not all peaceniks. Lesson to learn: if you are peaceful, don’t beat and stab IDF soldiers and don’t take their guns. Israel tried to do things peacefully. Other ships that acted peacefully werte not attacked.
In response to the video, it is sad that people were hurt or killed, but it was Turkey and the flotilla that chose violence. Israel merely asked the ships to stop in Israel for inspection first. Very logical. The flotilla refused. If I want to board a plane, my body and suitcases are subject to inspection. If I attacked an airport guard, I’d be hurt too.

according to maritime laws, the simple fact that the ships intended to break the blockade made boarding it legal. The only exception would be if the ship WASN’T in International water/Israeli water but in another country’s water territory.
