Do you think accusations of liberal bias in the news are a sham?

If you look closely doesn’t it look like they are going out of the way not to show the truth? I have heard that it is illegal for many arab news outlets to speak in the U.S. No photos may be displayed or video shown. Are accusations of liberal bias a lie?

There is both liberal and conservative bias depending on which station you are watching and who owns that station. If you keep up on the news using public sources like public radio or the internet and then compare them to regular tv you can truely see how bad it has gotten.
It’s just bad there was not ENOUGH liberal bias to stop Bush’s expensive bloody mess in Iraq. Half a trillion and climbing. And how many 9/11 dudes were from Iraq? Stupid is as stupid does.
The mainstream media clearly have a liberal bias. Polls show that over 98% of journalists vote democratic. Do you really think they are so special that they can overcome their own bias?
Illegal? More likely a death sentence. The news (US News, IE mainstream media) definitely has a liberal bias. If it were a ship, it would be listing so heavily to the left it would sink!
Absolutely not a sham. The major networks of ABC, NBC and CBS have a definite slant to the left. FoxNews has a slant to the right. The reason you hear more about the liberal bias is that the non cable networks all have a liberal slant, some more than others. In order to get the ones that go the other way, you have to pay more for the premium cable channels.
There is a simple answer… they reflect either optimism or pessimism. It is very obvious.. But distorting the news is unforgivable.
Public radio is not the best source to make this discovery.. if you observe very closely, you will see a considerable imbalance of liberal encroachment there also.
While the majority of reporters just want to tell you the story, some are biased towards one side or another. Then, they submit their stories to their editors. Right now, the majority of all media outlets (TV, radio and newpapers) are owned by conservatives. If the owners and editors are more interested in their opinion being heard than the reporting of actual news, then the bias is being practiced. Since the conservatives control most of the news, whose bias are we being subjected to? It’s definitely NOT the liberal media bias anymore.
Right now, if news agencies lie or twist the truth, they are somehow fairly reporting what is going on in the world. But, if truth is told and proof shown it becomes liberal media bias.
I fear for our country.
I have heard that a majority of our journalists of today and college professors are products of the 60s or their progeny, In my city on the east coast, I am so furious with our local paper that I only buy it for the local news. Anything against the president is in color on the front page. Anything good is buried way inside. The liberal bias is so blatant, it really burns me up. Since I discovered FOXNEWS, with Chris Wallace, Neil Cavuto, John Gibson, and my favorite, Brit Hume, I get all my national and international news there. Each issue is discussed with a democrat and republican – allowing me to do my own thinking. Do yourself a favor and see if you can find Brit Hume. After he gives the news, there is a roundtable of D’s and R’s. See what you think.
The media is biased, but it’s not in favor of liberals or conservatives. It’s about the almighty dollar. Who’s paying for station advertising at any given time? Does the story negatively or positively effect those investors? There are a plethora of other factors. News stations had no problem attacking democrats during the Clinton administration. If you actually look at what’s going on, you can see that the bias falls in different directions at different times politically, but the money is always protected.
It is a shame, but very few people trust our news outlets to be unbiased and trustworthy. Except for local news, print media will be out of business in a few years because people simply no longer trust the reporters who twist information to suit their liberal purposes.
No. Liberal bias in the media is obvious for those with eyes and ears and those searching for the truth. How can one not see it, unless they chose not to see it?
