“The United States and Britain closed their embassies in Yemen Sunday, pointing to ongoing terrorist threats.”
I sure hope this won’t be misinterpreted as a sign of weakness….
He is escalating a war in Afghanistan, I think the troops are committed elsewhere.
Do you want to reinstate the draft, because that is what is needed to fight 3 wars.
Closing the embassy probably means the State Dept is getting the hell out of dodge before the either the Saudis or US start dropping bombs.
I am not an Obama supporter, but his decision on closing the embassy in Yemen was most likely made on concerns of safety for the embassy personal until the Yemenites can get their country under control (with help from US money by the way). So no I do not think it is turning tail and running. Will hind sight or history say something different? Only time will tell.
It was described as a lock down. I’ve had lock downs at my high school but its sitll operating.
