I hope so. It would be a more pitiful and less strategic hub than pakistan
no.. next is monopoly of gourmet pasta
Today Obama just asked for 708 Billion to fund his wars for next year. With that much money, heck yea, Obama, throw yemen in there too. *Where is this money coming from?*
Yemen is an hub. There were 86 Yemeni held in Gitmo during the previous administration. Most of them were allowed to return to Yemen. Al Qaeda factions are all over the world, including Asia and Africa. Al Qaeda is not a unified army of people. It is many small cells spread out all over.
Seems so. But Yemen’s been a problem for more than 20 years!
Al Quaeda’s like one of those gel tube toys they sell to kids. Squish one end and it squirts out the other end. They were clamped down on in Afghanistan, so they moved to Pakistan. Pressure them in Pakistan, and they move further away, to Yemen.
They are looking to establish strongholds in poor, uneducated areas. Areas of high illiteracy. They need to be the font of all information, without question. The Qur’an does NOT support their ideals, unless twisted. If you cannot read it for yourself, then you have to rely on someonelse’s interpretation.
Why do you think the early Catholic church resisted the PRINTED word, heck even the copied word, so much! (and Gutenberg, in his way, started the Enlightenment.) Heck, for the first few centuries, the Catholic church sent copies of the bible – TO THEIR OWN PRIESTS! – with only **9** commandments, because they worried that the common priests & regular people would believe (as muslims do!) that all those icons of saints and statues of Jesus on the cross were “graven images” and heresy.
