You can always live under your bed and close your eyes that might help.
i’ve always wanted to be a marine but i’m nervous about going to bootcamp and going to combat can anyone give me some pointers.
I had a friend, Doug Jacobson. He was a Marine, a pvt. Doug got the CMH on IWO.
Doug had to his house on New Years Day. I was the only Army puke. E-9, Stars??. A friend, no combat stuff.
good luck im going to san diego may 24th
It looks like the “recreation” of Tun Tavern at the Marine Corps Museum in Quantico. Great place, A little expensive though.
exactly, “They will Never understand”
Does anyone know what that
Tavern-looking location is at
07:48 to 09:00 ??
I mean, obviously it’s a Tavern of some sort…
but is it an actual “tavern” with a real location…
or just a museum or something like that??
@shorttimer09 Those were the last things on my mind when I joined. I joined to make a man out of myself.
i cant wait to join! 1 more year of highschool, my dad was a marine, 1968-1970, just wanna say
semper fi!!
so glad i joined. i’ve had “friends at home” tell me that while i’m overseas getting hit by roadside bombs, that they will be running hotel chains, and making tons of money….ha, i said good luck, but they will never understand, my only true friends are marines, and low and behold, those so called friends aren’t running hotels or making tons of cash. God Bless my Corps, and all the men and women who serve!
Everything you just said is right. I’m going to join the marine corps.
im hoping to go to paris island june 22
The Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps, SgtMaj Kent was my 1stSgt and later SgtMaj when I was with 3d Battalion 12th Marines in Okinawa. I’d have thought he’d retired a long time ago. I was floored when I saw this video because he looks the same. He’s a model Marine, always has been. He was already a SgtMaj when I left active duty in 1996. He earned the honor of SMMC.
To the people who had others tell them they were going to die if they join the marines.
I’ve had that same situation for me as well, but something that you gotta know is if people talk like that then they don’t and may never understand the Marines, or the military in general, like you said, keep your head up, do what ya gotta do to get the mission done!!!
Oorah! good luck.
